About HDG
The Heritage Development Group, LLC (HDG) was formed as a Nevada Corporation in December, 2006. The firm is based in, and managed from, Chattanooga, TN, along with having an office in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. HDG was built on existing relationships to conceive, design, finance, develop and own high-end real estate developments. HDG's current focus is on the Chattanooga/Hamilton County area of Tennessee, as well as northern/central Florida and southern Georgia. Our business culture attracts bright professionals and impressive partners, advisors and suppliers, who are leaders in their respective areas of expertise, and motivated to help HDG grow.
Our work integrates property development with strategic business alliances. This allows HDG to launch, position, and execute developments for our customers who want to experience the best that a home and community can offer. Management and Advisory Team
Jeff Ritchie, President and Founder, is the creative visionary behind HDG. He brings successful experience in real estate development and financing, the essential entrepreneurial flair, and the ability to build dynamic and successful teams. Jeff knows what works and how to assess and balance risk and reward. He acquired both discipline and leadership from a six year career in the US Navy, as a Desert Storm veteran and elite force trainer. Buddy Poole , Chief Operating Officer, joined HDG in early 2007, adding the business organization and management discipline skills to balance Jeff Ritchie ? s creative talents. Based in HDG' s home office, he is establishing corporate policies, practices, systems, and procedures. Mr. Poole manages the corporate headquarters and, pending HDG's recruitment of a full time Chief Financial Officer, supervises the financial and accounting functions. Mr. Poole offers thirty years of diversified industry experience following his BA in History from MTSU, Murfreesboro , TN. Don Ault, National Project Manager, joined HDG's core team in November, 2007, having managed the largest earthworks project for a luxury PUD (HDG's Windward Preserve) for Pointe General Contractors. Don developed diagnostic and problem-solving strengths during a career with NCR, then a top 100 company. He worked with early computer systems and was transferred to Hunstville , AL to work on NASA 's Apollo space program and NCR's military contracts at the Redstone Arsenal. Scott Walker, Co-Founder and Co-Owner, is the principal of the operation. He interfaces between clients and the SWPS team of designers and programmers to ensure clear communications of goals and objectives. Scott's enthusiasm for technology comes from its ability to enhance peoples' lives. His career history is multi-faceted.
Prior to founding SPWS with Eric Abrams in 2001, he had built a Tech Support department for a software company that was eventually bought out by EDS. He started as a High School music teacher, changing path to direct sales in the automobile industry, before finding his true love, computer and information technology applied to sales and marketing. This range of experience, combined with immersion in Personal Development, has positioned Scott uniquely to ensure that HDG receive the service and results it needs.
